Data Controller and Communication
At İkamet Sigorta, we care about the privacy and security of your personal data. In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), we would like to inform you about the purposes, methods, legal bases, and your rights in relation to the processing of your personal data, as the data controller.

Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Provision of Insurance Services
Preparing quotes for insurance products you request (health, motor, traffic, DASK, home, etc.), issuing your policies, and facilitating the establishment of your insurance contract.
Policy and Claims Procedures
Fulfilling the rights and obligations covered by your insurance, including policy execution and renewal, claims notification, and compensation assessment.
Customer Service and Improvement
Managing customer relationships, providing support, handling satisfaction and complaint processes, and improving our service quality.
Fulfilment of Legal Obligations
Fulfilling obligations such as notification, reporting, invoicing, and auditing required under applicable legislation, including notifications to the Insurance Information and Monitoring Centre (SBGM) and reporting to official authorities.
Marketing and Campaign Communication
Where you have given your explicit consent, sharing campaigns, promotions, and marketing content related to our products and services.
Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data is processed to the extent necessary for the above purposes and in accordance with KVKK, and may be shared with:
- •Insurance Institutions — insurers and reinsurers from which we obtain or arrange quotes on your behalf.
- •Competent Public Authorities — SBGM, relevant ministries, courts, and regulatory bodies.
- •Service Partners — IT, cloud, software, archiving, and printing companies. Security measures are applied in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK during any data sharing.
Method of Collection and Legal Basis
Your data may be collected automatically or partially automatically through our website, mobile application, email, and physical documents. In cases falling under Articles 5/2 and 6/3 of the KVKK, data may be processed without explicit consent; in all other cases, processing is based on your explicit consent.
Your Rights as a Data Subject
Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:
- •Learn whether your personal data is being processed.
- •Request correction or deletion of your data.
- •Know the third parties to whom your data has been transferred.
- •Object to adverse outcomes arising from automated processing.
- •Claim compensation in the event of damages resulting from unlawful processing.

To exercise any of the above rights, please submit your request in writing to hello@ikamet.com. Applications are finalised within 30 days at the latest.
